President and Co-founder of Tech Jump, Zain Lateef is an important Partner and Affiliate of Adbiz. Zain is a full-stack developer with close to a decade of software engineering experience across a wide range of industries. His expertise includes a multitude of technologies such as Angular (HTML, CSS/SCSS, Typescript), Spring (Java), AWS, Docker and Kubernetes just to name a few.

 

In 2019, he partnered with his long-time friend and colleague, Vishnu Sriram, to start New Millenia Consulting, a software development company where he serves as President and Senior Software Engineer.

 

Zain’s long list of career accomplishments include the development and maintenance of ACRIME. His experience at DHS as a software engineer also includes serving as the Angular 7 tech developer, designing multiple components and code, reviewing Junior Developers work and managing AWS RDS deployments of Oracle Databases in the production environments.

 

Zain’s experience stretches across many industries. In the music industry, he has served as a software engineer and tech lead for Warner Music and was successful in developing their Global Licensing System, a massive in-house music licensing portal that allows record labels to manage licensing and publishing rights for Warner’s recordings and artist works. In the hospitality industry, he has served as the Lead Full Stack Developer at Westgate Resorts, overseeing a variety of web applications and projects such as the development of an Angular 7 component library to be used for future projects and the creation of complex Oracle SQL queries to optimize backend response time.

 

In the field of biotech, Zain has served as the Lead Java/Angular Developer on a Molecular Diagnostics Interface for Cepheid. He’s been successful in implementing multiple controllers in Java Spring and maintaining code coverage for mission critical applications. At Cepheid, Zain increased the modularity of the codebase by implementing class hierarchies in an effort to reduce repetitive code and also implemented Hot Module Reloading to  reduce the application start-up time in the development environment.

 

Zain graduated from the University of Florida earning a B.S. in Computer Science, plus received extra training in Java, Angular and Oracle DB. His education includes training at Cisco, a large Silicon Valley corporation. At Cisco, Zain worked on the Java Spring API for a reimbursement portal used by Cisco employees and clients, architected multiple Oracle DB tables and schemas to optimize entity relationships, implemented an auto refresh mechanism that detects changes in the UI and refreshes the view accordingly, and built an HTTP listening service in Angular that triggers loading animations in the UI based on HTTP parameters.

 

These are just some of the many examples of software development success Zain has. earned throughout his career. Outside of software engineering, Zain is a serious musician and talented music producer.
