Case Study

City Auto Repair

City Auto Repair was going through a major transition: Rachael Lewis was taking over the business from her father, a long-time auto repair owner in Gainesville, Florida.

Her father used to concentrate primarily on transmission repair and had his shop for 30 years, so the daughter had to:

a. let the townspeople know that Rachael was going to be in charge and more than capable to step into her father’s shoes.

b. that City Auto Repair was a full-service shop, not just specializing in transmissions.

After developing a strategy that would address both these concerns, Adbiz created a brand image/website for this family-owned, full-service, automotive repair and maintenance shop. The shop was repainted and re-landscaped. Professional photographs were taken for the website and for the branding and marketing we developed.

Then, we portrayed the Rachael as a very strong woman in the image of Rosie the Riveter.

It worked! In fact, a major automotive repair magazine discovered our new branding for the Rachael and her shop, which inspired an article covering women-owned automotive repair shops. The new owner of City Auto Repair was the main subject of the article!
