Case Study
Entomos
One of the most exciting chapters in the history of Adbiz was our work with Entomos. This client developed a methodology for raising ladybugs (ladybird beetles) in the larval stage. This had never been done before on a mass scale!
In the “beneficial insect” business, predatory insects are set loose as a means of chemical-free pest control.
In the past this was done using adult insects. However, adult insects fly away!
Entomos was the first company to successfully mass produce ladybug larvae. The larvae remain on the plant and eat the bad bugs without flying away.
With Terry Chester’s background in Entomology, he was excited to help this client succeed.
Adbiz not only developed all the branding and marketing materials, we also developed a three-way website! The website was designed for:
- Farmers
- Greenhouse growers
- Teachers and students
Each of the three websites were combined into one entity but were set up individually to educate and sell to these three groups. Besides selling larval beneficial insects to farmers and growers, Entomos also developed a complete, self-contained, educational ladybug kit where teachers and students could watch larval ladybugs turn into adults.
Designing and writing content for teachers and elementary school children was a joy. Adbiz successfully marketed several different products to a variety of Entomos customers.
